Currently emerging reality show drama in Indonesian television station. Each episode has a similar scenario, where the host will go to "the poor" to this life of suffering. This phenomenon is illustrated in the cartoon Mice in Kompas March 11, 2012:
Regardless of whether the original story displayed or engineering, which is obviously a show like this has a lot of interest (evident from the number of similar events in the various television stations). It seems like a lot of people happy, or at least interested in, to see the suffering of others.
What a sad story really makes us happy? Why? Is it possible to make us feel better, that there are others whose fate worse off than we are? Or because by watching the show, we felt a "kinship" and "not alone"? Whether the event can give us hope? Why are events like this demand by many people?
